Aspectos epistemológicos del mapa geológico: contenidos empíricos y teóricos

Abstract

In this paper a look at the geological map from the Epistemology is proposed. Empirical and theoretical aspects contained in  this form of representation are figure. Map of Earth Sciences, contains both direct scientific observations made in the field, as a  theory, as interpretations of observable traits. To consider the evolution of the map in time, examples of national publications  are used to show how it is modified according to the prevailing theoretical framework. Its theoretical content means it can be  considered a research topic in itself, both basic and applied science, provided the scientific community accepts it as such.
