Physician – Patient Relationship: epistemological windows
Resumen
This essay addresses the physician – patient relationship (PPR) question, central to medical practice, from some perspectives I consider relevant. The matter has frequently been reflected upon from a normative standpoint -what the PPR “ought to be”-. Contrarily, the attempt to describe the PPM epistemologically is rare. I think epistemology has something to contribute here, in order to study the medical interaction phenomenon, trying to unravel its distinctive features in the framework of human encounters.
