In this article, we report some conclusions as the result of an intersectoral research work between the Faculty of Psychology and twoMental Health services belonging to San Miguel de Tucumán Hospitals. We present the conclusions obtained from four cases discussed in interhospital workshops are presented. The general objective of the investigations carried out was the production of significant knowledge about the problem of deregulated and self-destructive behaviors in adolescents who consult in health services. From the theoretical perspective of Health Psychology and Psychoanalysis, the investigated risk behaviors (self-harm, suicide attempts, eating disorders, criminal behaviors and violent actions) are not considered as a mental illness in themselves, but as an Acting triggered by then and which calls for the regulatory intervention of the Other. Thus, not all self-destructive behavior is an attempt to take one’s life: in some cases, it is a very fragile attempt to try to regulate it, a very fragile attempt where overwhelming enjoyment predominates. So, in the beating, in cutting, in eating until bursting there is no attempt to take your own life. There is a life deregulatedby enjoyment that could end in tragedy. There the intervention in health will have as fundamental operation to contribute to find some regulation offering places where the adolescent invents new ways of accessing desire.
