Facultad de Agronomía y Zootecnia: 70 años de vida institucional

Abstract

Con motivo de celebrar los 70 años de vida institucional de la Facultad de Agronomía y Zootecnia, iniciada el 15 de diciembre de 1947, en este trabajo se reseñan los hechos más importantes ocurridos desde entonces hasta el presente. Se incluye una introducción sobre los inicios de la enseñanza agrícola en el país y en la provincia de Tucumán, los antecedentes de la Facultad de Agronomía y su evolución cronológica hasta constituirse en la actual Facultad de Agronomía y Zootecnia que imparte tres carreras de grado: Ingeniería Agronómica, Ingeniería Zootecnista, y Medicina Veterinaria; y su oferta de pre-grado y postgrado. También hacemos a referencia sus publicaciones, presente institucional y desafíos para el futuro.

On the occasion of celebrating the 70 years of institutional life of the Faculty of Agronomy and Zootechnics, which began on December 15, 1947, this paper reviews the most important events that have occurred since then up to the present. It includes an introduction on the beginnings of agricultural education in the country and in the province of Tucumán, the background of the Faculty of Agronomy and its chronological evolution to become the current Faculty of Agronomy and Zootechnics that teaches three degrees:Agronomic Engineering, Zootechnic Engineering, and Veterinary Medicine; and its pre-and post-degree offers.We also refer to their publications, institutional present and challenges for the future.
